Templates

 
By using templates the user has the option to set which master files he wants visible within E-Catch and which he doesn’t. By using templates users can browse through options more quickly and work more efficiently.
 
Setting up Templates
Access the template manager which can be found under “Settings > Favorites” and then the “Templates” tab. When opening this tab the database with master files will be loaded.
 
 
As shown in the picture above a full list of all the master files will be displayed. The default template is named “ALL”, within this template all the master files are selected to be displayed within the menu’s and options in E-Catch. The master files are sorted in their categories, ticked files will be displayed and non ticked files will be hidden. In each category you have the following options: “All” “None” “Invert” “Search”
 
All:
this option will enable all the files within its category
None:
this option will disable all the files within its category
Invert:
this options will invert the disabled and the enabled files within its category
Search:
this options loads a popup window in which a file can be searched either by typing in the name or the code of the files
 
The top toolbar within the template manager is used for selecting, saving and deleting templates.
 
 
A brief overview of the options displayed in the picture above:
 
Current Set:
In this dropdown menu users can select the template which they want to edit or delete.
Undo:
When changes have been made to a template which hasn’t been saved yet using the “Undo” button will revert the changes.
Delete Set:
This button deleted the current selected set, this is not applicable for the default “All” set.
Save Set:
This options saves the changes made in the current selected set, this is not applicable for the default “All” set.
Save Set As:
This options is used when saving a newly created set.
 
 
 
Activating templates
 
To change which template needs to be active within E-Catch can be done at any given moment in the program. Switching between templates is done by using the main toolbar of E-Catch.
 
 
As shown in the picture above, under the button “Template” there is a drop down menu which shows all available sets of templates. When clicked on a template it will be set as the new active template. This menu also shows which is the current active template using a green icon and the name of the active template is shown in the top left corner of the program. For example the picture above shows “Fishing Trip – ALL” indicating that “ALL” is the template currently in use.
