PNO Prior Notification of Estimated Arrival
Creating a “PNO” message is done in the main screen of “Fishing Trip”
Simply insert you estimated arrival date and time and use the dropdown menu to select which Port you’ll be returning to. Use the button “Estimated Arrival” to create the message and to be redirected to the “Communication” menu.
Note: the estimated arrival message has to be sent at least four hours before actual arrival.
The picture below is an example of how to fill out your “Prior Notification”.
The “PNO” is not mandatory if the fish is landed into a designated port within the time frame given by the authority and the catch of certain species (cod, hake) is within the limits given by the MMO. Please check their website www.marinemanagment.org.uk if its applicable to your situation.
