Gear Types
The “Gear Types” tab allows users to define their fishing gear, this is a requirement when sending a “Departure Message”. When sending your departure message you also have to report what type of gear you will be using and what type of gear you have onboard. In the picture below is an example of the “Gear Types” menu.
Only fill out the parameters that apply for the gear type you are entering.
When creating a new Gear Type use the “Add” button to add this new gear to the list. When changing settings for an existing gear, select the gear you wish to change and after the changes have been made use the “Update” button to save these changes. When deleting a gear select it from your list and use the “Delete” button to remove it from your list.
