E-mail

 
E-Catch gives users the possibility to not only send the mandatory messages towards the MMO but it allows users to send copies of those messages to third-parties. Within the “Settings > E-mail” menu there are two tabs to chose from, the “Government” tab and the “Report” tab. Either E-Catch or your supplier will provide you with the necessary credentials which can be used in these tabs.
 
Government
The following parameters need to be set up in the government tab in order to be able to send your messages towards the authorities.
 
SMTP Server:
The name or IP address of the outgoing mail server
SMTP User ID:
The username to log in on the outgoing mail server
SMTP User Password:
The password to log in on the outgoing mail server
SMTP Port:
The port used for the outgoing mail server (default 25)
SMTP Time Out:
The time limit set on sending messages
Email Address Receiver:
The email address of the MMO needs to be filled in here
POP3 Server
The name or IP address of the incoming mail server
POP3 User ID:
The username to log in on the incoming mail server
POP3 User Password:
The password to log in on the incoming mail server
POP3 Port:
The port used for the incoming mail server
Email Address Sender:
With which email address you want to send messages.
PGP Encryption:
Check or uncheck the box to enable or disable PGP encryption.

Report
 
The “Report” email tab has a few extra parameters which can be set up.
 
SMTP Server:
The name or IP address of the outgoing mail server
SMTP User ID:
The username to log in on the outgoing mail server
SMTP User Password:
The password to log in on the outgoing mail server
SMTP Port:
The port used for the outgoing mail server (default 25)
SMTP Time Out:
The time limit set on sending messages
Email Address Sender:
The email address you want to send messages with
Import personal E-Mail:
Tick this box to enable E-Catch to receive external info like license keys, weather forecast, etc.
POP3 Server:
The name or IP address of the incoming mail server
POP3 User ID:
The username to log in on the incoming mail server
POP3 User Password:
The password to log in on the incoming mail server
POP3 Port:
The port used for the incoming mail server
Use SSL ( secured SMTP/POP):
Check or uncheck this box to send messages using SSL security
 
 
Check or uncheck the boxes of the listed reports to enable or disable them and add email addresses in the boxes behind them. Multiple email addresses can be used when separated with a semicolon ( ; ) and a space.
 
Report After FAR:
Sends a copy after each Fishing Activity Report
Report After PRN:
Sends a copy after a Prior Notification Report
Report After PRN2:
Sends a copy after a Prior Notification Report 2
Report After LAN:
Sends a copy after submitting your Landing Declaration
Report External:
Sends your total catch to the third party responsible for your Landing Declarations
