Backup / Restore
E-Catch will automatically ask to create a backup every time a fishing trip is closed. This backup will be written on a set location on the hard drive where the program is installed, namely; c:\users\public\documents\e-catch\backup. This location can be changed in the “Settings > Favorites” menu under the “General” tab. From this location a manual copy can be made to, for instance, a flash drive which can be brought along. This can also be started manually when going to “Setting s> Backup/Restore > Full Backup”.
When encountering problems with the database, the backup can be restored. This procedure should not be attempted by the user but should be done using the help from E-Catch. For contact information see the appendix ‘contact information’.
